Brooke's Birthday

Today is Brooke Lacy's birthday.

I love her!

This picture was actually taken a year ago. We had a Fiesta for her this year, but I didn't take any photos. The fiesta - ALL was great. The food was amazing. Nachos/Tacos/Tostados - so yummmy.

Hennes & Mauritz

....aka "H&M" I went last Sunday w/Brooke & Liz.

Now, about a year ago, my girlfriend Natalie introduces me to this store. We had a girls day in downtown Pasadena, Christmas shopping. The second I enter the store, I'm in love. A new obsession is upon me. First off, I love to shop. And the #1 thing I love to shop for is clothes. I could do it all day, every day if that was possible. And if my bank account could handle it. I mean, there is a HUGE reason as to why I don't have a credit card.

Well, the problem w/this obsession - H&M Clothing Store - is that it's quite a drive to get to one. I think the closest one to us is in Irvine? And that's just over an hour away. If they would only open one in Temecula - our mall needs it. The city needs it. The girls NEED it. Thank goodness - they opened one up in Riverside. At the Tyler mall. 45 minutes away from me...just under if there isn't any traffic. How fantastic! And whats even more great, Neil allows me to spend money on one item - the one item I am lacking in my wardrobe - a jacket. An early Christmas present. Yay. Since I've already spotted the one that I want at an H&M in Costa Mesa - which was over 2 months ago - I was just praying that they'd still have it. And they did!!! The best day ever :)

Brooke & Liz both walked out of there empty handed - why? I have no idea. Brooke had birthday money to spend, but couldn't find anything. But I think the truth is because I love the store so much - and she has this weird "I want to be an individual" about her, that she will only buy clothes at a store that no else has ever been to. Well, anyone that she hangs out with anyway. It's such a shocker to me too - because this store seems to be her style - to the tee! And the prices are even better :)

What a great day....

Romans 5:1-5

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."

Through Him we can overcome the deepest & most difficult trials - He is our strength when we have none left. God is in control, even though you may not realize He's the one pulling the strings.
